Susie Hodder-Williams & Chris Caldwell | Coracle of Life
A new exhibition of sculpture and sound.

Voyage: Exploring the Human Voyage through Life is a new exhibition of sculpture, drawing and music that will be shown for the very first time at Poole Museum later this week.

Voyage brings together sculpture and works on paper made over the last 15 years by artist André Wallace with the music of Susie Hodder-Williams and Chris Caldwell. The artists first met in 2016 and found a common theme bound their work - that of ‘mythical journeying’. The exhibition explores how, as human beings, we navigate our passage through life.

Visitors will be able to view the beautifully crafted sculptures and large-scale drawings while listening to a specially created soundscape.

Cllr John Challinor, Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Culture, Borough of Poole, said: “We are looking forward to offering this thought-provoking exhibition to residents and visitors to Poole. In our busy lives it’s rare to find time to pause and reflect – the captivating artwork and music of Voyage make this a unique gallery experience for each individual who enters the space.”

Voyage: Exploring the Human Voyage through Life is a new exhibition of sculpture, drawing and music that will be shown for the very first time at Poole Museum in October.

These three highly respected and thoughtful artists talk to one another through their work and then invite visitors to look, listen, feel and ‘be’. The fusion between what we see and hear offers a deep and meaningful emotional experience and promises to connect with people of all ages and interests.
